Christopher York Flounlacker, our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many in the community, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Chris loved his family dearly and had just returned from a wonderful vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains over Christmas holiday.

Christopher was born in Pensacola, FL and attended Creative Learning Academy for his primary years, N.B. Cook Elementary and St. Paul Catholic School through middle school, and his high school career was split between Catholic High School and Booker T. Washington.  Chris began his football career during his middle school years and had the opportunity to enjoy that sport throughout his education. Upon graduation from Booker T. Washington in 2018, Chris began his college career at Georgetown College where he played football as an offensive lineman.

Since his youth, Chris has been a passionate sportsman, nature lover and a man of adventure. Most recently, Chris found his way back to the great outdoors and was working as a deck hand in Orange Beach. His love of nature and adventure always brought him a lot of joy. He had aspirations to pursue these passions in the coming year, was looking forward to working on a cruise ship in Alaska, traveling, seeing the world and pursuing his Captains license. He was always happiest around a campfire with many friends and family and lots of delicious food. Our sweet Chris was larger than life like a lovable bear he was thoughtful and playful and had a great sense of humor and wasn't afraid to use it. He had a kind and gentle heart and was loved by many and loved greatly.

Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Flounlacker, Delores Flounlacker and Stanley and Dolores Czerkawski.

Christopher will be greatly missed by his loving family Michael, Stephanie, Paul and Beaux his extended Czerkawski family and Flounlacker family, fellowship community and the many families of the schools he attended in Pensacola, FL Creative Learning Academy, N.B. Cook, St. Paul Catholic School, Pensacola Catholic High School, Booker T. Washington High School and Georgetown College.

Memorial service will be held 11:00am Saturday, January 8, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church on Hyde Park Rd., Pensacola, FL, with a reception to follow. Masks are encouraged.
