Annie Louise Hill Childs, 69, of Pensacola, FL went to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 20, 2012. No more pain, no more sorrow. She was born into a large family on October 6, 1942 in Selma, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin (Skinner) Childs; her father and mother, Ed (Red) Hill and Algie Cook Hill; her sisters, Sue, Grace and Willie Lou; as well as her brothers, Edgar, Kelly, Hoy and Clarence. Survivors include her son, Woodfin (Woody) Smith of Arlington, TX; daughters, Tina M. Alsterberg (John) of Pensacola, FL, Catayna Freitas of TN and Rayna Jones of Arlington, TX; her brothers, Tom Hill (Shirley) of Benton, LA and Curtis Hill (Kay) of TN; as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the family home with Rev. Jack D. Giddens officiating. Refreshments and lunch will follow.
