Adam Travis Dukes, 23, was born on December 4, 1991 to Johnny and Candace (Brewer) Dukes in Pensacola, FL and passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Adam was raised in the Beulah community and attended Beulah Elementary School, Beulah Academy of Science and graduated from Pine Forest High School in 2010. Adam was very active in his academics, graduating 8th Suma Cum Lade with a 4.08 GPA while serving on the Student Government Association as a Senator, President of the Anchor Club and a member of the National Honor Society. Adam was a graduate of the PSC Medical Explores Program and was currently pursuing his Computer Science-AA degree at the University of West Florida. Adam's favorite hobbies included fishing with his Dad, hanging out with friends and playing video games. Adam is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Jeanne Walsh and his grandfather, James Brewer. Survivors include his father, Johnny Dukes; mother, Candace (Brewer) Dukes; grandfather, Steve Dukes; grandmother, Patricia Dukes; grandmother, Jeanette Brewer; sister, Lindsey Dukes; brother, Johnny Dukes, Jr.; sister, Heather (Dukes) Moon; 4 uncles; 4 aunts; 1 niece, 5 cousins and numerous other family and friends. To know Adam was to know one of the kindest people you would ever meet. He was very loved by anyone that met him. Often giving to others and going beyond what was expected was a way of life. Friends will be received at 5pm with a Celebration of Life service to remember the life of Adam beginning at 6pm Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel located at 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504.
