Albert Winter, age 86, of Pensacola, FL, went home on Friday, October 28, 2022, in Pensacola, FL.
Albert was born to the late William E. and Anna Fiel Winter on November 19, 1935, in New York, NY. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and on the Presidential Honor Guard. He was a graduate of the University of Miami. He retired after 35 years of service from the State of Florida as Executive in Charge, in the State Controllers Office in Jacksonville. Albert loved sports, especially baseball and racquetball. He played first base on the Army National Baseball Team and was also Florida State Champion in Racquetball for singles and doubles. Sharing his love of the sports with his children, he coached all of them in racquetball and baseball. On January 8, 1956, he married the love of his life Myrna, they spent 66 years together, making memories together and building a beautiful foundation of love that their children and generations of grandchildren can stand upon proudly.
Albert lived his life to the fullest, he had a great sense of humor and was always kind, and above all demonstrated his loving devotion to his family regularly. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his devoted wife of 66 years, Myrna O. Winter; four children, Joy Frazier, Albert W. Winter, Candace Winter, and Curtis Winter; as well as his seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service
to honor Albert's life
will be held 1:30pm Thursday, November 10, 2022, at
Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, with
Military honors accorded by the US Army. For those
wishing to attend the service, a funeral cortege will depart Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32504 at 12:45pm on Thursday.
There will be a gathering following services at East Pensacola Heights Clubhouse, 3208 E. Gonzales St., Pensacola, FL 32503.
