Alice Miyono Cummins was born on December 2, 1933 to the late Buei and Hatsuko Tamashiro in the Territory of Hawaii. She passed away at the age of 88 on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Pensacola, Florida.

She enjoyed crafts, sewing and origami. Alice was a devout Catholic and attended Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Society.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Douglas Cummins. Surviving her are her son, Allen Cummins (Patricia); daughters, Ann Chapman (Tyler) and Debbie Nelson (Paul); grandchildren, Kia and Halen LaFave, Alexandria and Landon Cummins, Jacob and Luke Nelson; great-granddaughter, Ayla Rostorfer. Her brothers, Richard Tamashiro (Misayo) of San Diego, California and Stanley Tamashiro (Elise) of Kahului, Hawaii; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Alice Miyono Cummins at 12:00pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, in Pensacola, with Fr. Hank Lech, celebrant. Committal service will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

The family requests masks be worn by all those attending her services.
