Alice Marie (Augustson) Klingaman, 86, of Pensacola, FL, peacefully passed from this life and gained her angel wings on Thursday, January 7, 2021.

Alice was born on June 18, 1934 in Primghar, IA to the late George Ray and Velma Vada (Hawley) Augustson. She grew up on the family farm. Alice married Jerome Warren Klingaman on May 3, 1954 and they served their country as an Air Force family with devotion, living overseas at military assignments in Thailand and England, as well as at assignments in California, Montana, Louisiana, and Florida. Together they raised four loving children, Mark, Trudy, Warren, and David. Alice was a devoted DAR member who enjoyed watercolors, yoga, sewing, reading, and collecting works of art.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Warren Jesse Klingaman.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lt. Col Jerome Klingaman, USAF (ret.) of Pensacola, FL; son, Lt. Col. Mark Klingaman, USAF (ret.) (Carolyn) of St. Paris, OH; daughter, Trudy Slinger (Scott) of Baltimore, MD; son, David Klingaman (Clair) of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Eli Slinger of Baltimore, MD, Leigh White (Steve) of Bloomingdale, GA, Lauren Beasley (Brandon) of Winder, GA, Adam Klingaman of Charlotte, NC, and Katherine Klingaman of Farmville, VA; two step-grandchildren, Melissa Dapore (Joe) of Centerville, OH and Paul Hamby (Melissa) of Rockholds, KY; four great-grandchildren, Shea, Abigail, Kathleen, and Josie; six step-great-grandchildren, Caden, Bryson, Arryson, Violet, Ada, and Will; her sister, Donna Earley of Cameron, MO; her brother, Ray Augustson of Aitkin, MN; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held 2:00pm until the Funeral Service to begin at 3:00pm Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Jim Dietz officiating. Private Interment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery.
