Alice Faye Meydag, age 80, died on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born in Portsmouth, VA, she was a daughter of the late Dewitt and Hazel Roper. Mrs. Meydag was originally from Pensacola, FL where she attended Pensacola Junior College. Alice was a graduate of the class of 1960 Pensacola High. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Ottawa Tribe of Miami Oklahoma. She enjoyed the beach, loved dogs and was an outstanding grandmother. Mrs. Meydag was preceded in death by her sons, John Meydag and Richard Meydag, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Richard "Whitey" Meydag; a son, Robert Meydag (Hope) of Wallingford, CT; a daughter, Karin Markovics (Robert) of Plantation, FL; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dakota, Jordan and Scott; a great-granddaughter, Evlynn.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or to a charity of one's choice.
