Aloysius "Al" Joseph Echele, Jr., 70, of Pensacola, FL passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Al was born in St. Louis, MO. He served in the Navy from 1959-1963. He retired as an Escambia County Civil Service Employee. Survivors include 3 children, Connie, Chris and Cheryle and his son-in-law, James; 7 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; 2 great-grandsons; 3 great-granddaughters; and 2 step-great-granddaughters. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Monday, September 21, 2009 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Memorial Mass will be held 10:00am Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bellview, with Fr. John Licari celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Inpatient Residence, 10075 Hillview Rd., Pensacola, FL 32514 or to the American Cancer Society, 5401 Corporate Woods Dr. #100, Pensacola, FL 32504.
