Altha Broxson
Sullivan
May 12, 1936 – December 8, 2025
Altha Leona Broxson Sullivan, 89, beloved mother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on May 12, 1936, to Bart and Annie Broxson in Holley, FL, Altha was the seventh of eleven children. From an early age, she was determined to stand out with her spirited personality and contagious laugh, earning the nickname "Sally Spitfire" for her outgoing nature and fierce defense of her beliefs. No matter the circumstance, you could always find her smiling, and she made a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She is preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Lori and her beloved granddaughter, Abbi.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelly White and son, Jeff Sullivan (Stella); her grandchildren, Tyler, Barrett, Sydney, Vanessa, Brooke, Kandice, and Jayde; her beloved brother, Doug (Mary); two of her sisters, Annice and Patsy, with whom she shared a special bond; as well as many great-grandchildren. Altha and Patsy spoke every day, giving support and companionship to one another.
In recent years, Altha was blessed to share a home with her daughter, Kelly, who lovingly cared for her. Their relationship went beyond that of mother and daughter - they were true best friends and confidants, sharing many precious moments together.
Her warmth, laughter, and unconditional love will continue to resonate in our hearts. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation will be held from 2:00pm until a Memorial Service begins at 3:00pm Friday, December 12, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL.
