Amber Kellam Brodie, 48, of Gulf Breeze, FL died peacefully on November 20, 2016 following a lengthy illness.

Born in Meridian, MS, Amber was raised in York, AL where she attended and graduated from Sumter Academy. Amber attended Livingston University where she met the love of her life, her husband Steven. Following college she practiced nursing in Atlanta, Jacksonville and Pensacola. She later started her own embroidery business called StitchCraft Monogramming. It was a popular and successful business in the community and the schools of Gulf Breeze.

Amber had a kind and generous spirit. The role of motherhood was the most important job in the world to her. She found joy and pleasure in cooking and preparing meals for her family. She loved her children with all her heart and this included her niece, Meagan too. Amber loved the water and enjoyed spending time on the family boat fishing with her husband and children. She was especially proud of the 35 pound grouper she caught on one of the family deep sea fishing trips. Amber loved Alabama football. She was a big Roll Tide fan and loved to support the team. Amber's dogs were a big part of her world and were considered part of the family. They were a huge comfort to her during her difficult journey. She had a fun and vibrant personality and added life to any gathering with stories of her childhood and her family. She will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Milton; father, Fremont Kellam; and step-father, Ronald Milton.

Left to cherish her memory are husband, Steven; son, Scott; daughter, Lauren; sisters, Jamie Letson and Melanie (Steve) Grace; nieces, Morgan Letson and Meagan Letson; nephews, Jordan Grace and Cade Grace; sisters-in-law, Susan (Tracy) Arnold and Edith Brodie; mother-in-law, Ann Brodie.

Memorial Service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church.
