Angie Lois Thompson Raydo of Pensacola, FL passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, while in Sacred Heart Hospital at the age of 76.

She leaves behind her husband, Roger William Raydo; their children, Brad Raydo, Bryan Raydo, and Lori (Beth) Raydo.

Angie was born on June 25, 1946, in Columbus, GA to father, John J. Thompson and mother, Dorothy N. Whitehurst, who predeceased her.

She grew up in a loving family with three sisters. Following her mother's love of working with children, she got her bachelor's degree at the University of West Florida in early childhood education where she met Roger at the Newman club, and it was love at first sight. Angie and Roger married on December 17, 1971. They lived in Charlotte, NC and Pensacola, FL where they raised their three children: Brad, Bryan, and Lori (Beth).

Throughout the years, Angie was a talented and creative kindergarten and music teacher, scout leader, and room mother. She was also a devout catholic, eucharist minister, and lay reader. Avid philanthropist giving to causes such as: St. Jude, Disabled Veterans, Cancer Society, Maryknoll Sisters, and more. She gave joy to others in making beautiful, crocheted gifts each season. Angie enjoyed writing poetry and doing crossword puzzles. She will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother (GranGran) for fifty plus years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bobbie Thompson Watkins; brother-in-law, Thomas H. Brown Jr.; and niece, Wendy Watkins.

Angie is survived by her husband, three children, two grandchildren as well as her sister, Mary Thompson Brown; niece, Nan Williams.

Visitation will be 1:00pm until the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 2:00pm Friday, December 2, 2022, at Nativity of Lord Catholic Church, with Fr. Raymond Herard, celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
