Ann S. Jewett, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
She was able to celebrate her birthday on Wednesday, February 14, and was surrounded by friends and happy memories. She was a Valentine's baby and always loved that holiday. Grey and Ann's life was enriched with their travel across the United States, including Alaska, in their motor home for many years and their volunteer work at West Florida Hospital.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Marcy and Franklin Schmick; husband, Grey R. Jewett; brothers, William, Leo and Michael; sister, Mary; and son, Donald "Tre" Chipman.
Ann leaves behind nieces and nephews along with loving church families from Holy Cross Episcopal Church and St. Andrews Anglican Church and many dear and loving friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:30pm Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, with Fr. Rob Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to FavorHouse of Northwest Florida.
A very heartfelt thank you to Nancy and Scott Wilson for their love, compassion and devotion to Ann that will never be forgotten and there is a special place in heaven for this family. A very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Don Winslett for his many years of friendship and dedication to Ann's memory. Lastly, a grateful thank you to the staff at Brookdale Senior Living for the care given to Ann in her last months of life.
