Obituary

Anna "Anita" Hepp-Pallas, 72, peacefully passed away after her courageous fight with Leukemia on July 23, 2015, at home with her family in Pensacola, Florida. She was born in 1943 in Wiesbaden, Germany. Anita was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and only love of almost 45 years, Thomas Pallas. Devoted mother of Patricia Ann Pallas, Jeffrey Thomas Pallas and Nicole Katherine Pallas Norris. Doting Oma (grandmother) to Jared Jeffrey Pallas, Nicholas Jesse Pallas, Isabel Anna Norris and Jesse Michael Norris. Anita is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan Annette Pallas; her son-in-law, Kevin Wayne Norris; daughters-in-law, Kayley Cassandra Pallas, Amber Gutliph Pallas and great-grandson Jackson Wilde Pallas. Anita was born and raised in Wiesbaden, Germany to Maria and Karl Hepp. In 1964, she received her bachelor's degree in Illustration / Graphic design at the Wiesbaden Kunstschule. She was active in the local theater and worked for the large German TV station, ZDF. She was a brilliant artist, with formal exhibitions around many countries in Europe and featured in Who's Who In the Arts & Literature in 1982. She was extremely humble about her creativity, even though her IQ was ranked at the genius level. She married Tom in July 1970 and moved many times, including Virginia, Georgia and Heidelberg, Germany before settling in Pensacola where they lived for over 20 years together. She was a sun-goddess. Her beautiful tan was proof of how much she loved laying in the sun, swimming in the pool and going to the beach. She really loved Pensacola and being close to the Pallas family - being an only child, it made her feel like a part of something very special. She was a jokester, a talker, a lively story teller and a mensch'. She did things for others and never expected anything in return. She knew what others liked and understood others because she would really listen to what they had to say. The best words to describe Anita would be brilliant, genuine and generous. The family of Anita Pallas would like to thank all of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at University of West Florida Hospital and Covenant Hospice. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 9:00am until the Funeral Service begins at 9:45am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
