Obituary

Anne Marie Clapsadl, 75, of Pensacola, FL, was called to Heaven on Friday, July 25, 2025, peacefully receiving her angel wings on the day of her 55th wedding anniversary. She was born in Chattanooga, TN, to Thomas and Tuna Sarandria. Anne attended Paterson State College prior to graduating from the University of West Florida with a Teaching Degree in Elementary Education. She subsequently earned a master's degree in Curriculum Development from National University in San Diego, CA.

Anne's dedication to nurturing young minds and her passion for teaching left a lasting mark on every community she touched. For ten years, she taught at Coronado Elementary School in Coronado, CA, where she not only helped shape students' futures but also played a key role in designing the school's new facility. Later, she founded a preschool for St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pensacola, FL, and dedicated her time to tutoring students, focusing on enhancing their reading skills. Always eager to inspire, Anne created an "Imagination Room" in the back of her Pensacola home, a space where children could tap into their creativity. She also founded "The Lunch Box" at the Navy Federal Credit Union in Pensacola, where her warm, and "never met a stranger" personality made it easy for her to mingle and make friends with everyone. No matter where she was, Anne's readiness to lend a hand and make a difference never wavered.

Being the consummate Navy wife, she expertly painted walls, conquered plumbing issues, cut and hung crown molding, removed and replaced wallpaper, in addition to raising two children and maintaining the homestead while her husband was deployed.

Anne was renowned as a masterful and creative craftsman, with a knack for transforming even the simplest objects into stunning works of art. Her unique creations were highly sought after by all who encountered them. With a generous spirit, she crafted beautiful centerpieces for the Freedoms Foundation POW-MIA luncheons and NJROTC Military Balls, adding a personal touch to these meaningful events.

She is survived by her husband, Mike, her daughter, Cheryl (Scott), her son Jeffrey (Lori), her two precious grandchildren, Abigail and Lucky, and her sister, Jane.
