Obituary
Annie Cruit Allen, 99, of Pensacola, FL passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016.
Mrs. Allen was born on a farm in Southern Alabama on August 16, 1917 to Ruby and Ernest Cruit. She was a longtime resident of Pensacola, FL. She was a graduate of Troy State Teacher's College and was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years. Mrs. Allen loved flowers, gardening and sewing.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Julian D. Allen; her siblings, Helen Lee, Elmore Cruit, Georgene Beasley and Paul Cruit.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Allen Fuchs (Donald); grandsons, Bradley and Evan (Kamala); her great-grandchildren, Lillian, Margaret and Aiden; her brother, Dr. Robert Cruit and a brother-in-law, Mel Beasley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10:00am until the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am Monday, August 29, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Dr. Hugh Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regency Hospice, 50 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL 32505.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Amos Prevatt, Jackie and Bill Vickery, Aline and Dr. David Nicholson, Mary Anne and Spencer Mitchem, staff and residents of Carpenter's Creek Community and Regency Hospice.
