Annmari Mae Duffy, 54, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 13, 2019.
She was born May 24, 1965 in Minneapolis, MN to Patrick and Lois Duffy. Annmari was one of eight children and grew up in West St. Paul, MN. She attended the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and graduated as a Second Lieutenant in 1988 with a Behavioral Sciences degree. Annmari continued to serve her country as a Human Factors Engineer at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. While at Eglin, she earned a Masters of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of West Florida. Her military career took her back to the Air Force Academy where she was an instructor in the Behavioral Sciences Department. Annmari concluded her service to our country with the rank of Captain in 1992. After completing her service in the Air Force, Annmari worked in both Greensboro NC, and Boulder, CO as a consultant for training and development firms. She later worked for a global company in the professional development area in the H.R. division in Colorado Springs, CO.
Annmari further pursued her love of education and initiated her coursework toward a PhD in Instructional Design from the University of Northern Colorado. Her life later led her to Grand Rapids, MI for a brief period and she finally settled in Pensacola, FL for the past 10 years where she was happy to avoid the cold snowy north!
She loved to reminisce with family and friends and always loved an "adventure". We will miss Annmari's contagious smile and big heart.
