Anthony "Bubba" Tampary, 75, fell asleep in the Lord on October 26, 2017. A lifelong Pensacola resident, Bubba grew up in Warrington and graduated from Pensacola High School in 1960. He received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University in 1967 and a Masters in Secondary Education Curriculum from University of South Alabama in 1973. Bubba worked for many years in the Escambia County School District, first at Workman Middle School beginning in 1967, moving to Washington High School in 1969 as a member of its first integrated faculty, and then as a district visiting teacher. Real Estate with his brother, Connie, in 1985.

After meeting in Starkville, MS, Bubba and Dorothy, his wife of 50 years, raised their family in Myrtle Grove. Later, they lived in Perdido Key, where he was a founding member of the Chamber of Commerce and Perdido Key Rotary Club, who recognized him as a Paul Harris Fellow and as 2012-2013 Rotarian of the Year. He was a founding member of St. Andrew Anthiochian Orthodox Church and served Christ by serving others.

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore C. Tampary and his mother, Ellen Morres Tampary.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; son, Anthony "Tony" Tampary, Jr. and wife Stacy of Pensacola; daughter, Mary Alex Tampary Dill and husband David of Colorado Springs; and brother, Constantine "Connie" and wife Lynn of Orange Beach, AL; cherished grandchildren, Mason Tampary, Marina Tampary, Ella Dill, and Lena Dill; and brothers and sisters-in law, Thomas "Toddy" and Joy Greer of Meridian, MS, Laura Bess and Roger Clapp of Florence, MS; and beloved nieces and nephews.
