Arturo Mosca DeVitalis, Jr., 95, of Pensacola, FL, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 17, 2022.
A WW2 veteran raised in Plainfield, NJ, graduated from Monmouth College and worked as a manufacturing engineer before moving to Rochester, NY where he was reborn to serve the Lord. In Rochester he was a founding member of the Genesse Co-Op Pottery, AKA Genesee Center for the Arts, and ceramic instructor at the Creative Workshop at the Memorial Art Gallery. While working part-time at the American Red Cross, he was blessed with a foster son, Richard Collazo who now has three sons and two daughters, Brian, Gino, Brandon, Leilani, E'Lisa and is now a great grandfather and is committed to Christ.
Arturo is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine DeVitalis.
He is survived by his children, Art, Charles, Amy and Laura from his first marriage; stepchildren, Pam, Chris, Jerry, Tina, Becky and Tony and grand son, Derrick from his second marriage in 2000 from Lorraine.
A memorial service will be held 10:00am Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Liberty Church, Blue Angel Campus. A graveside service will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
