Ava June Nichols Johnson, 86, of Valrico, FL, formerly of Pensacola, FL, reunited with her beloved husband of 46 years, William M. Johnson, on Friday, September 24, 2021.
Ava was born in Johnson City, TN to the late James and Florence Booth Nichols. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three brothers, Jack Nichols, William Nichols, and Donald Nichols.
Ava was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid reader, especially enjoying history and current events. She loved entering sweepstakes and even once won a car. Ava loved to spend time tending her garden, especially her roses, and enjoyed traveling with her loved ones.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her three children, Lisa Johnson, of Pensacola, FL, Derek Johnson and Alison "Michele" Johnson, both of Valrico, FL; three grandchildren, Lisa, Anna, and Victoria Johnson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 10:30am until an 11:30am Celebration of Life Service at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL, with Pastor Stuart West, officiating. A committal service will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
