Barbara Lee Brent Karsten, 77, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Thursday, January 21,2010. Barbara was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on April 6, 1932, where she met and later married her loving husband of 56 years, Herbert Gabriel Karsten. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Orville Clayton Brent and Elsie Christine Rivard Brent; her brother-in-law, James Lauckner; and nephew Brent Lauckner,. Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Brent Karsten; her daughters Shannon Gallaher (Neil), Diana Hardy (Ed); her grandchildren, Christian Karsten, Bronwynn Hindman (Charlie), Clayton Karsten and Jonathan Karsten; and her great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly Andrew Karsten, Matthew Karsten, Brennan Hindman and McKenna Hindman; sister, Dolores Lauckner, and nieces Jade MacLaren (Ian) and Allison Maxwell (Rob). Visitation will be Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 9:30 am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel until the Funeral Services at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Our family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Don Angelo, Dr. Keane Arney and Dr. Andrew Kees for their loving care. Barbara was a most devoted wife, mother, and grandma. She cared for each of us with a love that was uniquely hers and she will be missed so very much.
