Barbara A. Garrett, 86, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, surrounded by loving family.
Barbara was born June 13, 1939, in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of Joe Watts Goodson and Rhoda Bess Reddy Goodson.
Barbara graduated from Anniston High School in 1957, then went on to Jacksonville State College, earning a degree in Education.
Barbara taught with the DOD in Okinawa, Japan where she met and married her husband, MSGT John L Garrett. Barbara and John then were stationed in Honolulu, HI where their only child, Tim, was born. Barbara also leaves two grandchildren who she loved very much and spent much time with during their childhood.
Barbara taught at Olive/Lincoln Park Elementary school for 30 years and touched the lives of countless children during that time.
Barbara was a member of Ferry Pass United Methodist Church.

Visitation will begin 11:00am until the Funeral Service at 12:00pm Monday, October 6, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Barrancas National Cemetery.
