Barbara Anne Matolay, 81, of Milton, FL passed away Friday, October 2, 2026.

Barbara was born on September 16, 1945, in Harrison, ME to Barbara (Gray) and Kenneth C. Sampson. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and Catholic by faith.

Preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Mary J. Matolay.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Nils A. Matolay; children, Daphne J. Jacques, Kenneth Eastman, Kimberly A. Jones, Stacy L. MacEachern, Jennifer Volheim, Traci Allen, and Heather Parlate; 15 grandchildren.

A Memorial visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2026, beginning at 10:00am until a Rosary at 10:45am. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milton, FL. Committal Service will follow at 2:30pm at Barrancas National Cemetery. (All services are pending the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias.)
