Barbara Grace Vinson, 89, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Barbara Grace Cribbs was born in Limestone County, AL, on March 10, 1935, to Bernard and Grace Cribbs. She graduated from West Limestone High School in 1953 and attended business college in Huntsville, AL. After graduating, she worked several years as a stenographer in the rocket program at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Barbara married Billy Franklin Vinson on September 10, 1960, and they soon moved to Pensacola, FL, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She continued to work for the federal government until she started her family and was a devoted mother and a devout lifelong Christian. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church for over 50 years. As a member of the United Methodist Women, Barbara volunteered her time in many ways, including delivering Meals on Wheels, making hospital visits, and volunteering in the church office. Barbara had a strong sense of civic responsibility which led to her volunteering as a poll worker for many years for local and national elections .

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lynda Looney and Judy Patterson; grandmother, Estelle Cribbs.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Billy F. Vinson; Daughter, Angela White (Joel); Son, Darrell Vinson (Rae); Granddaughter, Zoe Lewis; Grandsons, Evan and Dillon Vinson and many nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to thank Emerald Coast Hospice and Susan Ryals for their great care of Barbara.

A Visitation will begin at 11:30am until a Funeral service begins at 12:30pm Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Reverend Bobby Ellisor officiating. Interment to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
