Bernadette Godwin, 83, of Pensacola, FL went to the Lord and her heavenly family on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
She was born in Pensacola, FL to Jimmy and Margaret Mitchell. Bernadette was a homemaker and a very good seamstress. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, casinos, and spending time with her family and friends. She is a member of Little Flower Catholic Church where she was active at the Mother Teresa Mission.
She is survived by her husband, Don Godwin; her daughters, Cathy Rominger (Chris), Wendy Russell (Don), and Pam Deen (Billy); her sister, Mary Ellen Stanhope (Chester); grandchildren, Nathan Crongeyer, Brande Broxson (Jay), Brooke Brasch (Randy), Mindi Hensley (Jake), and KJ Kelson; great-grandchildren, Dakoda Brannon, Kaley Leonard, Megan Leonard, Katelynn Brasch, and Rubin O'Donovan; a great-great-granddaughter, Lyndon Leonard; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends that she met over her long life. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with rosary to be prayed at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Little Flower Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Worthen celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Don Russell, Billy Deen, Jay Broxson, Randy Brasch, Jake Hensley, and George Kennel.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to her favorite charity, Mother Teresa Mission, at Little Flower Catholic Church.
