Bernarda C Linezo, 88, passed away peacefully in Baptist Hospital on January 20, 2016 in Pensacola, FL.
Bernarda was born August 20, 1927 in Maragondon, Cavite in the Philippines. She became the devoted wife to Victor Linezo the town Councillor, and their home was open to the community from sunrise to sunset. She was also a PTA board member for her children`s elementary school. In 1979 she moved to Pensacola, FL, where she helped to raise her 14 grandchildren. After Bernarda's husband passed away and all of her grandchildren were grown, she gave her time volunteering with the The Legion of Mary of Little Flower Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy (and Rose) Linezo, Salvador (and Elda) Linezo, Lerma (and Juan) Bersabal, Vic (and Ruby) Linezo, Amor (and John) DelRosario, Lynn (and Alex) Vega, Emily (and Francis) Arias; her grandchildren, Sean Linezo, Christina Linezo, Michael Bersabal, Sharon (and Andy) Hong, Marivic (and Daniel) Roque, Jen (and Justin) Bryars, Maricris Linezo, Marijane Linezo, Matt Arias, AJ DelRosario, ENS Veronica Delrosario (USN), Nathan Arias, Alyson Vega, Franklin Vega and JB Linezo; her great grandchildren; Nikko, Salvador Hendrix, Indie, Ty'siah, Sophia Lennon, Malaya Wright, Xylas and Xavier.
Bernarda is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Linezo; and their youngest son, Bervic Linezo and most recently by her sister, Anita Tanag.
Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Little Flower Catholic Church, Myrtle Grove with Fr. Eugene Casserly celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Reception to follow at Fil-Am Community Center at 234 West Oakfield Drive.
Pallbearers will be Sean Linezo, Michael Bersabal, Matt Arias, Nathan Arias, AJ DelRosario and Frank Vega.
Bernarda's family continue to love her infinitely and will miss her sincerely.
