LCDR. Beryl Charles Miller (USN Ret.), 80, Pensacola, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Beryl was a native of Scofield, Michigan but had resided in Pensacola the past 41 years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Ellen; 4 children, Patricia Williams (Dale), Philip Miller (Karen Overman), Christine Day (Michael) all of Pensacola, and William Miller (Ellen) of Tampa; and 9 grandchildren, Rebecca Williams Edmondson (Keith), Neil Williams, Matthew Miller (Kristyn), Allison Miller Levi (Jimbo), Patrick Miller, Tim Miller, Caroline Day, Melanie Day and Caitlin Day; and one brother, Earl Miller (Theresa) of Monroe, Michigan. Beryl was predeceased by his parents at the age of 10 and raised by his sisters Evelyn, Kathryn, and Freda and his brother Earl. In 1948, he joined the United States Navy and served honorably in the Naval Cryptologic community for over 26 years. He served as the Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Florida and retired in 1990 as Vice-President of Human Resources of the Lewis Bear Company. The visitation will be held Monday, December 13, 2010 from 4:30pm-6:30pm at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel with a Rosary prayed at 4:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Msgr. Stephen Bosso celebrant. Burial with full Military Honors will be at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:45am. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Cerebral Palsy of NW Florida or to St. Paul Catholic Church. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
