As a long-time member of Heights Baptist Church she often worked with childrens groups. Family gatherings were an important part of each summer and were never complete without Besss fried shrimp. This spirit and her optimistic openness endeared her to all she met and was rewarded by a richness of many devoted friends. She is survived by her daughters Linda Andereck Knowles of Gulf Breeze; Carolyn Andereck Bronson (Jim) of Carmel, IN; former son-in-law Doug Knowles (Tara) of Atlanta; granddaughter Dr. Jennifer B. Dunbar (Jay) of Cicero, IN; grandsons Brian E. K. Knowles (Jill) of Atlanta, GA and Jim R. Bronson (Vicki) of Fishers, IN; great-grandchildren, Tommy, Lauren and Grace, and many nieces and nephews.
