Elizabeth Pamela Stanley Kern Miller passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022, after a brief illness.

Beth grew up in Pensacola's East Hill neighborhood, just around the corner from Friendly Service and Moulton's Drugs. She was educated and excelled at Cook Elementary, Clubbs Middle, PHS, PJC (PSC), UWF and FSU where she earned her Masters and Education Specialist degrees. She was employed by the Escambia County School System as a classroom teacher and administrator and eventually retired after 35 years of service. Beth was a steadfast proponent of our public school system. Beth had a passion for college athletics and was a big FSU fan.

Beth is preceded in death by her father, Barnard H. Stanley; her mother, Myrdell Stanley Kyte; her brother, Bill Stanley and her brother, Herb Stanley.

She is survived by her husband, Gene; her sister, Pam Lastowski; her sister-in-law, Margaret Stanley; her nephews, Stan Lastowski (Stephanie), Steve Lastowski (Vicki), Bill Stanley Jr., Michael Stanley, and Nathan Stanley (Tennille); nieces, Elizabeth Stanley Ling (John) and Bryan Sarah Stanley; as well as a host of wonderful great nieces and nephews all of whom she loved and was so proud.

At her request, there will be no memorial service. A private family gathering will be planned at a future date.
