Bette J. (Stringfield) Atwell, 82, of Pensacola, FL passed away, Wednesday, April 22, 2020.

Bette J. Atwell, was born January 13, 1938 and is the daughter of George and Louise Springfield of Pensacola. She was an accomplished business woman and artist throughout her life. She owned Buccaneer Coin and Stamp Shop at the San Carolos Hotel, I'woman in East Hill, and Bette's on the Beach to name just a few of her businesses. As an avid artist and student of new artistic techniques she studied watercolor, oil, acrylic, and mixed media.

Bette is survived by her two sons, David Christopher Atwell (Stephanie) and Michael Shephard Atwell (Carol); 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and her 2 sisters Barbara Bullock (Ron), Sue Markham (Tom), and their families.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations, in her memory, be made to the Humane society, 5 North Q Street Pensacola, FL 32505.

Due to Covid-19, a celebration of Bette's life will take place at a future date to be determined.
