Betty Jean Balencie, 87, of Pensacola passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016.
Mrs. Balencie was born on December 3, 1928 in Covington, KY to Stanley Vernon and Beatrice Rudell (Hite) Cabbell. At an early age she and her family moved to Pensacola, where she attended Catholic High School. In 1945 she married her high school sweetheart, Jobie Balencie.
She is survived by her children, Alma Jean Weber (Dan), Mary Lee (J.E.), Guy Balencie (Mary), Matthew Balencie (Kimberly), Ramona Balencie (Jack) and Stephanie Hebert (Rick); 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Jobie Balencie, parents, son, Joe Balencie, granddaughter Jillene Balencie and 2 siblings.
Visitation will be 10:30am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church, with Fr. John Licari, celebrant.
Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to "Signs of Life", 1904 Tree Crossings Pkwy., Hoover, AL 35244.
