In loving memory of Betty McLendon Dawson, age eighty-six years old, who passed on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

Betty McLendon Dawson was born on August 11, 1935 in Birmingham, Alabama to Emma and Dedrick McLendon. She grew up in Hopewell, Alabama as one of five children. She worked in Anniston, Alabama where she met the love of her life Thomas M. Dawson. They were married in 1955 and moved to Pensacola, Florida the same year. In Pensacola they raised their three children and were owners of Dawson Boat Company. Betty enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, feeding and watching birds in her beautiful yard that she kept immaculate. Most important in Betty's life was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dawson and her sisters, Dona Owens and Joan McLendon.

Those left to cherish her memory are sister, Jerri Anderson; brother, David K. McLendon (wife Sara); daughter, Susan Dawson Dullard; son, Thomas Dawson, Jr. (wife Kay); son, John Dawson (wife Tauni); four grandchildren, Stefanie Capps (husband Chad), Shannon Dullard, Christopher Dawson, Samantha Stubing (husband Kevin), Lauren Hawkes; great-grandchildren, Cason Capps, Emma Stubing; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will begin 1:30 PM followed by the Funeral Service at 2:30 PM Friday, October 8, 2021 at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel at 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, Florida 32504. Burial will be at Bayview Memorial Park.
