IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Holt
Denkler
July 15, 1931 – October 9, 2021
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Betty Holt Denkler (Hattiesburg, MS), who passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. You may also light a candle in honor of Betty Holt Denkler.
Betty loved gardening, painting, music, cooking, and her family. She was a devoted and loving matriarch to them all. She also loved Pensacola Beach where she spent her childhood and young adult life, passing that love and passion to her children. She will be missed but we are all grateful for her loving guidance and lifelong devotion to her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Denkler; her parents, Luther Holt Senior and Gladys Holt; her brother, Luther Holt Jr.; as well as great grandson, Kenny Fairley.
She is survived by her children, Linda Kennedy (Mike), Gary Gahlenbeck, Billy Gahlenbeck and Amy Clarke (Peter); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Fairchild, David Doleac, Jay Gahlenbeck, Jordan Gahlenbeck, Brittney Shea Gahlenbeck, Juliegh Massey and Molli Gahlenbeck; as well as several great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 509 W. Pine St., Hattiesburg, MS, 39401.
The family would like to thank DeeDee French for being such a wonderful and loving friend to our mother. We would also like to thank Covenant Care Hospice at Sacred Heart and the staff at The Arbors for their love, compassion, and assistance.
