Betty Joyce Penton, age 91, of Pensacola, was called home September 9, 2018. She was born in Pensacola, FL on September 8, 1927, to the late Mack F. and Myrtice Brackins Penton. Betty lived a simple life afflicted with childhood Polio, she never had an occupation however she was very intelligent and remembered everything. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers James, Max and Harry. Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law Velma Penton and Peggy Bisbee, both of Milton, FL; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will begin at 9:30am until the service begins at 10:00am on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Her great nephew Jason Pope will officiate. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. The family would like to give special thanks for the years they oversaw Betty's care to Velma Penton, who always bought the nicest clothes for her and Max Penton, who took care of Betty, even at her death. They would also like to thank the staff at Arcadia for the care, love and support they showed her.
