IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Parrish
Robinson
November 13, 1931 – May 24, 2024
Betty Parrish Robinson, 92, of Cantonment, FL passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024.
Betty was born in Hartford, AL, on November 13. She moved to Pensacola, FL in the early 1950s when her husband, Jim Robinson, was offered a job as President of Florida National Bank. The Robinson family resided in Cordova Park, where they lived for more than a decade before settling down on their horse farm in Pine Forest Estates for the next 47 years.
Betty was an active member in the Pintado Park Garden Club, Gadsden Street Methodist Church and Pensacola Debutante Cotillion, just to name a few of the organizations she was passionate about.
In 1973, Betty, along with her husband Jim, and a small group of parents, established the Pensacola Hunter Jumper Association, which gave equestrians far and wide the opportunity to show their horses. Betty remained an integral part of PHJA for the next 45 years, hosting 4-5 horse shows a year. Some would say she was the mother of PHJA.
Betty, affectionately known as, "BR," loved spending time with her family, gardening, making day trips to the casinos in Biloxi and watching her daughter and granddaughter ride their horses in the pasture of her backyard.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Robinson Wright and granddaughter, Branigan Wright Rak (Michal).
