Betty Dora Sunday Humphreys, 81, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born on October 9, 1936 in Flomaton, AL. Betty lived in Pensacola most of her life, however, she spent the last seven months in Mobile and Fairhope areas.

Betty is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Frank John Humphreys; her parents, Lamar and Ruby Sunday; a brother, Wilton Sunday and a sister, Martha Reid.

She is survived by her children, Carl Humphreys of Navarre, FL, Kenneth Humphreys (Cheryl) of Pensacola, FL, Anna Kay Treutel (David) of Daphne, AL and Charles Chang-Humphreys (Kanani) of Honolulu, HI; her sisters, Ollie Grunenwald, Rose Lee Wilkinson, Lois Wilkerson (Gordon), Helen Black (Bert) and Lamar Sunday, Jr. (Heidi); two sisters-in-law, Barbara MacPike and Lily Grover; as well as six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00am Friday, April 20, 2018 at The Shrine of the Holy Cross, 612 Main St., Daphne, AL 36526 with Fr. Lito Capeding celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to The Shrine of the Holy Cross or Covenant Care Hospice, Pensacola, FL.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Adam Tarnosky and staff and to Covenant Care Hospice at Sacred Heart for the excellent care they provided.
