IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bill
Bivens
December 15, 1937 – March 11, 2023
Bill Bivens, age 85, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Bill was born in Martinsburg, WV and moved to Cantonment, FL in 1978. He was employed by the telephone company for over 35 years. Bill was an active member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, he served as an Eucharist Minister and was a member of the Bereavement Committee. He visited, read scriptures, prayed and offered Holy Communion to many residents in nursing homes, hospitals and the home-bound. Bill took pleasure in reading, hunting, and traveling with his beloved wife Ann to all fifty states. He enjoyed pulling pranks and playing jokes with family and friends. He very generously fed and cared for his cats, Eli and Jasper. His greatest love was God, his wife and family, country, and the West Virginia Mountaineers; we know the country roads are taking him home.
Bill is preceded in death by the love of his life Ann, of 65 years; his parents, William Bivens and Meta Siobol. Those left to cherish his memory include, his three children, Tim Bivens (Theresa), Stacey Culley and Krista Clark; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A rosary will be prayed starting at 10:00 AM with a Memorial Mass beginning at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 27, 2023, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, with Fr. Hank Lech, Celebrant.
A committal service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. All are welcome back to Nativity's Hall for refreshments provided by the Bereavement Committee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary, 10701 S. Military Trail, Boynton Beach, FL 33436.
