February 18, 1946 – December 20, 2020
Billie James Edmonds, age 74, of Milton, passed away after an extended illness, in Milton, FL. Billie was born in Harriman, TN to the late William P. and Beulah Murray Edmonds. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Judith Edmonds, his maternal grandmother, Ellen Kelly, and an aunt, Edna Busy.
Billie was a loving father and grandfather, who attended West Florida Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He loved fishing, hunting, golf and college football. He was a Free Mason and member of the Hadji Shriners.
Those left to cherish his memory include, two daughters, Carman Edmons, of Pensacola, Cindy (Danny) Chase, of Milton; a special niece whom he loved like a daughter, Robin (Steve) Whiting; three grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin) Allen, Alisha (Sean) Norris, Danielle Chase; eight great-grandchildren, a special brother, Roger Edmonds (Sue), 4 other siblings, several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Billie James Edmonds will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Michael Brown, officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 1:00pm prior to the service Wednesday. Interment services will follow at Whitmire Cemetery, with military honors being accorded by the United States Army.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Santa Rosa ICU Medical Staff with a special thanks to Nurse Jacqueline.
