William "Billy" Broach McLemore, 90, of Gulf Breeze, FL died March 8, 2020 at Covenant Hospice in Pensacola, FL.

He was born July 9, 1929 in Meridian, MS to William F. McLemore and Inez Broach Jones. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Epling McLemore; wife, Bobbie Dryden McLemore; sister, Alice Bailey; brother, Erskine McLemore and stepson, Daryl Dryden.

He was a veteran of the US Army which he joined at an early age. After marrying his wife Betty, they lived for several years in Anchorage, AK, before moving back to Meridian to raise their family. He worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service until he retired. After his wife Betty's death, he married Bobbie Dryden and they lived in Hattiesburg, MS for many years. When widowed for the 2nd time, he moved to Gulf Breeze, FL to be close to his daughters.

He is survived by his son, William "Bill" McLemore of Laurel, MS; daughters, Leslie Schmidt of Pensacola, FL and Cindy Thomas (Greg) of Gulf Breeze, FL; stepson, Steve Dryden (Mary) of Hattiesburg, MS and stepdaughter, Robin Vignes (Stephanie) of Vancleave, MS; grandchildren, Arthur Vick of Pensacola, FL, Stacy Graham of Cleveland, TN, William Thomas of Memphis, TN and Davis Thomas of Memphis, TN; step-grandchildren, Jaime Dryden, Christy Dryden Tatum, Robbie Vignes, Joseph Vignes and Greg Grote; along with great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 10:00am Friday, March 13, 2020 at First Baptist Church Gulf Breeze. There will be a private burial in Meridian, MS, on a later date.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Mr. McLemore's caregivers these past few years for their kindness and support.
