Robert "Bob" Hudgins, 77, passed quietly in his sleep, into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
Bob was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp, serving in Vietnam during the mid 60's. He later became a member of the Escambia County Sheriff's Department and the Police Department in Port St. Lucie, FL. Upon returning to Pensacola, he opened a welding shop with his brother, B & D Welding.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 48 years, Denise Hudgins; six daughters, Tamela Nelson (Kevin), Kimberly Lorber (Lance), Holly Redman (Jonathan), Janet Daingerfield (Robert), Robyn Townsend (Kenneth), and Sheri Stanger (Kenneth); 14 grandchildren, Jeremy Nelson, Christopher, Jon, Lucas, Joshua, Mary and Michael Lorber, Chase Redman, Christopher Odom, Andrew Eilertsen, Whitney Townsend, Jasmine, Khloe and Jackson Stanger.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Hudgins; brothers, Donald Hudgins and Kenneth Hudgins.
This man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend will be sorely missed. We love you forever.
Funeral cortege will depart Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 11:00am for a graveside service to begin at 11:30am Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Barrancas National Cemetery with full Marine Honors.
