IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bobbie Lee
Urban
October 3, 1926 – May 15, 2016
Bobbie Lee Urban, 89, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
Miss Bobbie was a true Texan. She was born in Bertram, TX on October 3, 1926. As a young girl born on a farm, she couldn't wait to leave the farm and go to the city. Out of high school, she entered a nursing program in Houston, TX and for many years continued her education in nursing. She worked in military hospitals while her USAF husband, Clement O. Urban, of 57 years spent many of his 33 years active duty overseas. While not working, she volunteered at local Santa Rosa Medical Center Emergency Room for 16 years.
Even though she never wanted to see another farm again, her roots were impossible to ignore. She became a dedicated gardener, surrounding her home and family with beautiful gardens and flowers. She will remain a beautiful bloom in her family's hearts and memories.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Willie (Thornton) Baker; sisters, Wachweese (Baker) Huggins and Charlda (Baker) Habenicht; husband, Clement O. Urban and grandson, Jesse A. Mancuso.
She is survived by her daughters, Emily M. (Donald R.) Green of Pensacola, FL and Annette (Billy) Scarbrock of Alexandria, LA; grandson, Michael S. Scarbrock of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter, Leigh Ann (Aaron) Mulvey of Fulshear, TX; and great grandchildren, Bethany A. Scarbrock, Reed W. Scarbrock, Layton P. Mulvey and Evan C. Mulvey.
Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Barrancas National Cemetery with a funeral procession to leave Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 10:30 am.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of God's special angels: the staff of Summer Vista Assisted Living Community, Emerald Coast Hospice and Sonshine Companion Care.
