Bobbie Jean Wright, 96, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024, in Pensacola, FL.

She was born on September 6, 1928, she lived a life filled with love, curiosity, laughter and a pleasant touch of orneriness. A proud Texan through and through, Bobbie had a deep affection for her home state, the countryside, and Texas A&M University. Her passions included wildlife, golf, fishing, and she delighted in spending time with friends, family and especially her great-grandchildren.

Bobbie's life was marked by a spirit of adventure and hard work, having taken on various jobs over the years, and impeccably maintaining her Beeville homestead of 100 acres into her early 90s. She witnessed history over the course of a century and travelled the world as well. She possessed a curious mind that kept her ever-learning, and her wicked sense of humor endeared her to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Wright and Zachary Wright, Sr. (Jody Cahoon Wright); her grandson, Zachary Wright, Jr. (Victoria Wright); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Zachary Wright III, Blakely, Lily, and Easton Wright.

True to form, her wishes were to not have a formal service, but to eat, drink champagne and be merry in her memory. She will be remembered with fondness and love by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
