Bob was born in Brownfield, TX on October 10, 1929. He grew up in California, where he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving for 23 years here in the U.S. and overseas in Germany, Thailand and Vietnam. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, he worked for Martin-Merietta (now Lockhead-Martin) for 17 years in conjunction with the National Security Agency. They lived for 32 years in Colorado, where Bob loved to fish and hunt in the Rocky Mountains. He would proudly bring home his trout catch to Lore. They moved to Pensacola in 2003, where they became members of Grace Lutheran.
Bob is survived by the love of his life, Lore, to whom he was married for 60 years. He is also survived by his two daughters, Barbara Phillips and Liane Sengstock (Tim); along with one grandson, twin granddaughters, two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am until the Memorial Service begins at 11:00 am on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church. The committal service will be at 1:30 pm at Barrancas National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 6601 N. 9th Ave. or the Disabled American Veterans in Cincinnati, OH.
