Bonnie Rehan Jarrell Ellington, 79, passed away suddenly on June 2, 2026.

She was born in Macon, GA to the late Helen Doris Vann Jarrell and Bonnie Hill Jarrell Jr. and is survived by her brother, Tommy Jarrell; daughter, Ashley Rehan Ellington (Jim) Brown; and grandchild Jackson Jarrell Brown.

Bonnie graduated from Warner Robins HS and attended UGA, where she was on the Dean’s List and active in Kappa Delta sorority and became a lifelong Bulldogs fan (Go Dawgs!). She studied early childhood education at Wesleyan College in Macon and worked at Core Laboratories in New Orleans, LA before becoming office manager at Operational Security Systems in Atlanta, GA. Bonnie volunteered for local groups and the campaigns of Sam Nunn and Jimmy Carter, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, arts and crafts fairs, and concerts and music festivals, especially the NO Jazz Fest. She was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and a loving, generous mother and grandmother who adored being with her grandchild. She also treasured her extended family and loved to visit with them and attend family reunions.

Many thanks to her caregivers at People’s Hospice, the Waterford at Carpenter’s Creek, and Home Instead in Pensacola.

Bonnie will be interred in Magnolia Park Cemetery and a memorial service will be held in Warner Robins in July.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude, the American Red Cross, or your local food bank.
