IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brenda Humphreys
Hill
July 15, 1947 – January 7, 2022
Brenda Humphreys Hill, 74, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2022, in Birmingham, AL.
Brenda was born July 15, 1947, in Pensacola, FL, to George E. "Punk" and Marie Humphreys and was the eldest of five children.
Brenda was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and was a 1965 graduate of Pensacola High School. She married Ron Hill in 1975, and they were married 40 years before his passing. Brenda worked at the Escambia County Tag Office, the University of West Florida Comptroller's Office, K-Mart, and several banks before finding a home at Pensacola Government Federal Credit Union (My Pensacola Credit Union). After 26 years with the credit union, she retired in September 2013.
Brenda was an avid sports fan who had a zest for life and stayed on the go. She was a longtime supporter of Catholic High School athletics, was a season ticket holder for the Pensacola Ice Flyers hockey team, and proudly wore orange and blue to cheer on the Florida Gators. When she wasn't cheering for her favorite sports teams, you might find her at a casino playing slots with her sister or dressed in her "parrothead" attire at a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Brenda cherished her little Chihuahua "Peanut" and always wanted Peanut by her side. This held true as Peanut passed away a few hours after Brenda.
Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. "Ron" Hill; her daughter, Kari Rebecca Hill; as well as her parents, George E. "Punk" and Marie Humphreys.
Brenda deeply loved her family and is survived by her adoring daughter, Dr. Kelli Elise Hill of Birmingham, AL; her only sister, Georgann Humphreys Elliott (Joe) of Pensacola, FL; three brothers, George E. "Ellis" Humphreys, Jr. (Jan) of Monroe, NC, Michael J. Humphreys, Sr. (Stacie) of Orlando, FL, and Mark A. Humphreys, Sr. of Pensacola, FL; nieces and nephews, Amanda Humphreys (Steven Wells) of Gainesville, GA, Brooke Humphreys of Atlanta, GA, Chelsea Humphreys of New Orleans, LA, Lt. Michael J. Humphreys, Jr., USN of Pensacola, FL, Katie Humphreys Carniglia (Chris) of Orlando, FL, Megan Humphreys of Orlando, FL, Kevin Humphreys of Kennesaw, GA, Mark A. Humphreys, Jr. (Karlee) of Pensacola, FL, and Reagan Humphreys of Pensacola, FL; great nieces and nephew, Oliver Wells, April Wells, and Marlee Humphreys.
