Obituary

Brian Landon Rollo, 44, son of Leslie and Michael Richardson of Pensacola and H. Cook Rollo of Beecher, IL, passed away peacefully January 12, 2016 after an eight year struggle to recover from a traumatic brain injury.

Brian was born November 14, 1971 in Carbondale, IL. During his life he lived in Illinois, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Florida. Brian graduated from Homewood/Flossmore High School in Illinois where he was a star quarterback on the football team. He attended the University of Illinois and was a quarterback for Fighting Illini football team. Brian worked in sales his entire life and excelled in this area.

Left behind to treasure his memory are his two children Josh and Kaitlyn Rollo, of Bixby, OK; his brother, Jeremy his wife, Chea of Bixby, OK; sister, Sarah Raulerson and her husband, John of Tallahassee, FL; brother, Corey Richardson, Pensacola. Also, nieces, Brooke Rollo of Bixby, OK, Mary Ellen Raulerson, of Tallahassee; nephew, Tucker Raulerson of Tallahassee. Brian's cousins, Ian Brown of Reston,VA and Jess Brown of San Clemente, CA were close to Brian in age and he considered them as brothers. Others mourning his loss are half sister, Kendall Rollo; step-nephews, Mason Briggs, and Jake Gearhardt. Also his aunt and uncle Susan and James Tucker; cousins, Marion and Michaela Tucker, Minneapolis, MN; his uncle, Jeffery Tucker, of Pensacola, and step-grandmother, Carol Tucker of Barrington, IL; his uncle Ford, and aunt, Norma Rollo of Surprise, AZ, and aunt, Alicia Rollo of Chicago, IL and a huge extended family in Iowa that all cared deeply for Brian.

Brian loved life, the outdoors, music and sports, and had a passion for fishing. Most of all he loved his family deeply. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Special thanks to caregivers and friends across the country who helped Brian through this journey.

The Campership Program is a way for people who believe strongly in the Manito-wish program and the influence it has had in their lives to ensure that as many young people as possible benefit from the experience in the ways they have. These donations will be put to work immediately this summer to help provide the Manito-wish experience to kids who might not otherwise be able to afford the chance. Brian and all his siblings had life changing experiences at this camp.

A Celebration of Brian's Life will be held Saturday, January 23 at 1:30pm at Gadsden Street United Methodist Church, 901 East Gadsden Street, Pensacola, FL32501.
