Oscar "Buddy" G. Nix Jr., age 60, of Pensacola, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in Pensacola, FL.

Buddy was a native of Pensacola and was born to the late Dr. O.G. and Betty Trosclair Greenhut Nix. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lynn Lang.

Buddy attended Marion Military Institute and the University of Montevallo in AL. He was a realtor for 35 years in total, with 23 years at John S. Carr and Company, and then with Levin Rinke Realty until his cancer diagnosis. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  Buddy mostly enjoyed the camaraderie with his closest friends, Ed Chadbourne, III, Lee Hual and Brian Demaria to name a few.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his loving wife of twenty four years, Karen Egelhoff Nix; two sisters, Jane Reid and Suzanne Petway.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm until the Memorial Service to begin at 2:00pm Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
