Calvin L. Ledbetter, 80, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025.

Calvin was born April 7, 1945, in Macon, MS, the son of Houston Laverne Ledbetter and Kate Fair Ledbetter. He attended Hinds Junior College studying air conditioning technical training before enlisting in the US Air Force. He served honorably from 1967-1971 in the Air Force in Tuscan, AR, in Titan 2 missile complex service. After leaving the Air Force, he worked for 44 years in the air conditioning business retiring from Engineered Cooling in Pensacola as a Senior Service Tech in 2012. He was honored at retirement with descriptions of his professional workmanship and attention to detail. Calvin had numerous interests and hobbies including archery, hunting, fishing, welding, reloading and his specialty - BBQ cooking on his homemade smoker. His perfected brisket and pork were well known and appreciated by local folks. He was a faithful member of Olive Baptist Church where he was a head usher for 20 years. Calvin's faith in his Lord Jesus Christ was strong, and important to him as he witnessed to others.

Calvin is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Gail; his brother, Jerry Ledbetter; sister, Gloria Tidwell; sister-in-law, Lynn Newsom (Steve); son, Landon Simon (Patches); daughters, Tasha Simon and Terry Brooks; stepson, Jeff Brown (Eva); as well as stepdaughter, Meredith Brown. He was granddaddy to Chase, Brandie, Stephanie, Jamie, Kimberly, Fantasia, Jasmine, Dominic, Owen, Charlotte, and Vivian. He had 7 great grandchildren, Hadleigh, Gavin, Everett, Zion, Daisy, Hanson, and Adalyn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held 10:00am until a Funeral Service begins at 11:00am Friday, September 19, 2025, at Olive Baptist Church, with Dr. Ted Traylor officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ministry Village at Olive Baptist Church.
