Carl Henry Brockman, 80, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Carl was a native and life-long resident of Pensacola. He was a graduate of Pensacola High School and the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a member of the basketball team. Carl was in the US Navy, serving aboard the U.S.S. Hornet during the Korean War. He retired from Reichhold Chemical after more than 35 years of service, and was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Warrington. Preceding him in death were his parents; Irving and Anna Brockman and a grandson, Christopher Peaden. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Thelma Brockman and his children; Debbie Cofrancesco (Al), Gary Tunney (Lynza) and Sherry Peaden (Gary); eight grandchildren, Angela and Alison Cofrancesco, Stacy Tunney Piedad (Bryan), Matthew Peaden (Toni), Laura Peaden Ellis (Blakeley), Robert, Sarah and Anna Claire Peaden; his great grandchildren, Ashley and Isabel Piedad; also a brother-in-law and his wife, Bill and Glenda Holifield along with other loving family members. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 2-3pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Warrington with services beginning at 3:00pm. Pastor Christopher Cole will be officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Buddy Cope, Paul Cope, Robert Jones, Michael Anderson, David Anderson, Tim Holifield and Richard Holifield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church and School, 333 Commerce St. Warrington, FL 32507 or to the American Cancer Society.
