Carl Albert Meyer, 81, died Wednesday, February 7 ^th , 2018 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

He was born on July 27 ^th , 1936 in Chicago, IL to Albert Lee and Ruth E. Meyer. He attended public schools in Memphis, TN, and studied at Memphis State University. He married Linda Covington on June 26, 1960 in Jonesboro, AR. Carl was a long time resident of Pensacola, where he worked as a Zone Manager for Ben Franklin Stores and traveled extensively throughout the south. He also had careers in the insurance industry as well as the Escambia County Sherriff's Department. Carl was a longtime faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where he held many jobs and positions.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents and most recently by his wife, Linda C. Meyer.

Survivors include his sons, Larry Meyer and Wes Meyer (Merita); grandson, Christopher Meyer; granddaughters, Madison Holmes (Jacob), Mackenzi Meyer, Maysee Meyer; brother, Russell Meyer.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will be in the Trinity Memorial Garden.
