Obituary

Carol Gossman, 59, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Carol was born on March 17, 1966, in Boynton Beach, FL, to Shirley and George Wilson.

At a young age, she and her siblings moved to Arkansas to be closer to her mother's family. She was raised by strong women, including her mom, aunt, grandmother, and sister. She was blessed to grow up in a small town, even though she didn't know it at the time. Carol spent some time in Dallas and Little Rock before coming to her one true home by the water in Pensacola, FL.

There she met the absolute love of her life, Tim Gossman, who gave her an instant family. She and Tim were married for twelve years but were together for twenty. Carol has said Tim is her everything and the best man she has ever known. She always said the best day of her life was her wedding day, June 14, 2013. Carol spent many years in retail management, but her true love was working with her husband at their Animal Hospital. Healing the sick and helping the needy was the greatest reward.

She was so grateful that Debbie and Pam, both gave her the opportunity to co-parent such amazing kids. She was truly blessed and grateful for that. She had twenty beautiful years with Nick and Ambree Gossman, Max and Georgelina Gossman, Alex and Kris Gossman, Ben and Laura Gossman, Katie and Gary Williams, Jack Bell, and Emily Bell. She also leaves behind some wonderful grandchildren: Ethan, Braden, Parker, Penelope, Sam, and Colton.

Carol married into a big, beautiful family consisting of Tim's siblings, including Gary (Jeanne), Mike, Dennis, Beverley (Jim), Peggy (Phil), and tons of cousins. Throughout her years, she made many friends, but two stand out. Her first best friend, Edie Hill, whom she met at the age of 9, and remained friends with for life. Her closest friend and sister in Christ, Joy Guntharp (honorary son Daniel Guntharp), helped turn her eyes looking up. Joy was always patient, kind, and giving. Sometimes Joy was a sister, sometimes a daughter, but always a friend and confidant. Carol wished every person could have a Joy in their life. It's a true gift. Carol wished more than anything that she had more time, but breast cancer had other plans for her. Jesus got her through quite a few battles, but her time was up. We truly believe Carol is with her loved ones being comforted in their arms.

She is preceded in death by her mom; her grandmother; and her aunt.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tim Gossman; her sister, Kimberley Wilson (wife, Gina Seville); brother, Jim Wilson; her instant family, and her kids.
